WELCOME TO YOUR FATHER'S DEN!

Welcome to Your Father's Den! Here you will find the"best of the best" of reel to reel music just like dear old Dad use to play. The format and genre will be similar to that of the Hut. I chose to do this blog because there are tapes out there in high quality analog that no one has ever heard before(including myself) It gives the listener a chance to hear some great music as it was meant to be heard. So I hope you will enjoy this new blog and I welcome any comments.

DEAR HEART LIVING JAZZ

Well here's another Living series for you to sink your teeth into. It features Dear Heart by the late great Henry Mancini. Mancini has always been my favorite and a strong influence for my musical taste. Though you can get most of his albums on CD, perhaps I may dare to post a few of his works. We'll see.

I just discovered your website and I love it! Thanks for the great Living Jazz post. The artists in the "Living" series did wonderful work but did not get the appreciation they deserved because they were on the budget Camden label. If you have others I hope you will post them, also!
Thanks again,
Vince

Many thanks for the Living Jazz"Dear Heart".
Phil Bodner was behind this series-A very talented Sax & Woodwind musician.
I'm also looking for"Ode To Young Lovers"&"A lover's Concerto"in this series.
Keep up the good work!

Wow, this is very, very cool album! I just got a "new" R2R deck a few weeks ago, and playing the stacks of great tapes I've picked up---it's simply an amazing format! One of the best R2R's I've played so the Buddy Cole LP "Have Organ, Will Swing"---this will knock your socks off!

Please keep posting these! Again, simply fantastic!

Rich,
Very nice album. One problem--track 10 is identical to track 9. Same music, same exact size in bytes, same file but with different names assigned. You might want to check that out. I believe the your upload needs to be corrected. Sorry.

Could you please put up the final track, "Paris Original"? Your upload, which is splendid to say the least, has the track "High Life" included twice while omitting the final track, "Paris Original".

Love the site. Thanks for allowing me to discover some fantastic music - with incredible sound quality! "Dear Heart" is one of my favorites here. A real treat to discover Phil Bodner. Don't want to nag, but the previous comments are correct about tracks 9 and 10. Would love to hear every last song if you get a chance to re-upload "Paris Original." Thanks again for you hard work.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post a rip (vinyl or tape) of "Living Jazz: Lover's Concerto". It is right up there with the other Living Jazz releases and I have been keeping an eye out for it for ages. Thanks, Rich!!
